Things to do at Walt Disney World
With so many fantastic theme parks and attractions to choose from, planning your trip is essential. Before you go, create a list of the parks and attractions you want to visit, but don’t forget all the additional things you can do while visiting Florida.
- Shop at Disney Springs: This large outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment complex has 4 neighbourhoods offering endless opportunities to relax, dine and enjoy a vibrant ambience. There’s upscale boutiques, casual and fine dining options along with lakefront views and meandering paths dotted with fountains.
- Discover Disney’s BoardWalk: This pedestrian-friendly area contains several restaurants, shops, bars, and lounges, many with outdoor seating overlooking the water. Street performers provide lively entertainment along the promenade. Guests can also rent surrey bikes and explore sights like the ESPN Club arcade and the BoardWalk Inn, featuring pools, restaurants and surrey bike rentals.
- Practise your swing at golf courses: Disney World has 2 excellent golf courses on property – the Palm and the Magnolia. They are well-maintained and have fun Disney theming elements. There are a number of other great golf courses located very close to Disney World too like Celebration Golf Club and Falcon's Fire Golf Club.
- Enjoy Disney’s resort hotels: From the calypso rhythms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is inspired by traditional African kraal villages, Disney resorts are packed with amenities that will make your stay comfortable and recreation options that include pools, playgrounds and arcades. Elevate the experience and check out Disney’s Beach Club Villas, where you can explore lagoons and spas and sail around the Crescent Lake on a mini-powerboat.
- Choose the best park ticket: Sometimes, you can nab deals on park tickets where you’ll get more for your money and have access to other activities like mini golf, ESPN Wide World of Sports and even Disney’s Memory Maker service where you can get your visit to Disney captured – whether that’s by on-site photographers or while riding roller coasters – which is then easily downloadable.
